Lonavala Tungi Resort, Club mahendra.

Hi Friends

We visited Tungi Resort at Lonavala from 21st April  to 24th April , 2014 and it  was lovely experience.
The place is near Mumbai and reaching Lonavala is matter of few hours. But the journey from Lonavala to Tungi is difficult for last 10 Km due to bad roads not maintained by the three Gram Panchayats which are  along the way. But once you are there, it was heaven.

The place had every thing.A lake view, view of Tungi cliff, huge area of 48 acres, great activity centre and all.

View from pool side

The Tungi Cliff was visible from all over the place. It worked as a North Pole Star for locating your Villa.

The place kept us engaged in host of the activities.
The adventure activity was crossing the valley hanging from the rope.

Before you actually jump in the valley due preparation was required and it was arranged by the resort staff.

Once that was done , one had to just plung  into the valley and you are in the air.

The slope carries you half the way hanging from the rope. For the rest of distance  you have to pull your weight  with your hand holding rope above you.

The spa area too was scenic. It had beautifull ponds with trees hanging around it.

One thing you can never forget about the spa.was the Budha face on the wall near the entrance.
It turned in your direction as you walk past it.

It has  turned  to its  left as you entre the room.

It looks straight at you when you are in front of it.

It turns to its  right when you move on!!!!

It never takes of its sight from you, no matter where you are.!!!

After all this and some good exercise in the Gym near the spa you  return to your villa and there is a  nice sun set for you to call it a day.

This place can never stop you delighting and is a must visit for all nature lovers.

yours
Dilip

Jim Corbet Mahindra Club Resort, Uttaakhand.

There are two hill stations near Delhi, Jim Corbet adjoining Rly Stn Ramnagar with half an hour drive from the station , and Binsar which is 3 &1/2 hrs from Rly Stn Kaath Godam. After spending a day in New Delhi we we tokk late evening train from Delhi station on 23rd March and reached Ramnagar early morning on 24th March 10. The resort was picturesque with River flowing behind . The river brought variety of birds to the resort which were flying all around. Amenities included Dud bike, Rolling ball, swimming pool & normal indoor games . These kept us thoroughly busy for four days.

Visit to Jim Corbet Jungle offered many deers and a group of four elephants.

We had great time for four days and moved to Binsar.

Binsar Resort

Journey form Jimcorbet to Binsar is about 4 & 1/2 hours and its through steep mountains. We started late around 10.30 from Jim Corbet and reached only at 4 pm to Binsar Valley Resort.
Binsar Valley is itself a hill station but our resort was on a hillock and was called Manipur Villa.
All the rooms here are of wood and many of them are mounted on Log Wood. View from this place is just out of the world. We mostly rested inside the rooms for two days . We started for home on 31st March at 4.30 a.m to reach Kaath Godam Rly Stn at 8 a.m and landed at old Delhi at 3.30 a.m.
At Delhi the Maru Taxi service was quite helpful. We could do some shopping and then went to Delhi Air port. By late night we were in Amchi Mumbai .
